Become a Client for the SDG Traineeship

Does your organisation need a boost in making impact on the Sustainable Development Goals?

The SDG Traineeship offers young professionals and companies the opportunity to – further – develop themselves in the field of sustainable business and entrepreneurship. This initiative helps accelerate the integration of the SDGs in the business- and public sector to make the necessary impact!

Through the SDG Traineeship, organisations get the opportunity to let a group of students and young professionals work for them for 15 weeks, 1 day a week on an SDG-related project. This project must directly benefit the commissioning organisation. The organisation itself therefore devises and formulates the project description and the desired deliverables.

During the project, we offer the SDG Trainees weekly support and regular training and lectures, so that they are able to carry out the project successfully.

What does the SDG Traineeship entail?

The SDG Traineeship is a 15-week part-time programme in which a team of motivated trainees (HBO/WO; 18-27 jaar) works one day a week (8 hours) on a concrete SDG project for a client.

What we ask from you

  • When: the fifth edition will start on September 4, 2023. Clients can register below until June 30. The deadline for submitting the project description is July 15 (2 weeks later). We are happy to help with this!
  • Assignment: We ask the clients to formulate a concrete SDG-related assignment based on our format.
  • Our sustainability consultants supervise the trainees intensively, so you can sit back!
  • Time: 15-week part-time, in which a team of motivated young people works 1 day a week (8 hours) on the assignment.
  • Supervision: Clients are asked to supervise the trainees internally (on average 1 hour per week). Our sustainability advisors will train the teams and guide the process.
  • Language: The SDG Traineeship is for Dutch- and English-speaking people. As a client, it is possible to communicate in English and/or to receive an English-language end product. You can indicate this when you register. Depending on the working language of the project, we match Dutch or English speaking trainees with the client.
  • Costs: Participation costs are from €750 per assignment. Read more about the costs and other conditions for clients under 'More information'.
