Project Work : Team DSM
Hello!
We are team DSM! The first two weeks of the traineeship have been quite fruitful for us as a team, where we got to know each other better, share our traits and quirks, and bond over awkward and funny moments. In week 2, before our client meeting (scheduled for the afternoon), our team came up with a comprehensive list of questions to ask, which would help guide us better with our project. It was a productive afternoon where we got the opportunity to get introduced to the client, their organizational structure and their vision! As a team, we are responsible for coming up with an external framework that aligns best with DSM’s sustainability goals.
About DSM:
DSM is a 10 billion dollar and global purpose-led company in Health, Nutrition & Bioscience, applying science to improve the health of people, animals and the planet. The overarching part of DSM are the chemicals and ingredients they use for every product they make. They create products like sunscreen, Vitamin C supplements but also paint, working gloves and even coffee-ingredients. Although sustainability has been a core part of their business for a long time, they want to lead the line in the sphere of sustainability.
Maybe we’re chemicals,
Because we have chemistry.
But then again,
It’s not as though
Chemicals reacting
Could change anything
Other than the forms
That people see.
Even DSM’s products
Already sustainable or to be
Needing to be related to a SDG.
